Volleyball Recap: Peabody-Burns' Win Ends 12-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Peabody-Burns hadn't done well against Solomon recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Warriors came out on top against the Gorillas by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Gorillas back in September, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

The victory didn't come easy: Solomon scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.

Adyson Winter paced Peabody-Burns' offense, picking up ten kills. Winter got some help from Fancy Reynolds and her seven assists. Winter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Peabody-Burns' win ended a 12-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-24. As for Solomon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-23-3 record this season.

Peabody-Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Centre on the 11th. Solomon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
