After a string of three wins, Nickerson's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Hesston Swathers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Swathers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Nickerson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hesston work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24.

Hesston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Callie Yoder out in front who had ten digs.

Nickerson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Hesston, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-8.

Coincidentally, Nickerson and Hesston will both be playing Hoisington the next time they take the court. The Swathers will host the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
