There's no place like home for West Laurens, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Upson-Lee Knights on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.

West Laurens had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Emma Darley paced West Laurens' offense, picking up eight kills. Darley got some help from Skylar Fountain and her 14 assists. Olivia Moses controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Upson-Lee still got an impressive performance from Allie Richmond, who had 15 digs and two assists.

West Laurens' victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Upson-Lee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14.
