Doyle got themselves on the board against Catholic of Pointe Coupee on Thursday, but Catholic of Pointe Coupee never followed suit. They blew past the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets 6-0. Considering the Tigers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Doyle's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Doyle has already played their next game, an 8-3 defeat against Thompson on the 14th. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Archbishop Hannan on the 17th.
