Basketball Game Recap: Miami East Vikings vs. Troy Christian Eagles

If Troy Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Miami East, they should've done a better job of containing Jacqueline Kadel. The Miami East Vikings took down the Troy Christian Eagles 40-24 on Wednesday thanks in part to Kadel, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. What's more, she also racked up five steals, the most she's had since back in January.

Mara Fine was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Miami East's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Troy Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Miami East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 25-22 victory against Riverside on the 14th. As for Troy Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-38 loss against Northridge on the 14th.
