Softball Recap: Warwick Takes a Loss

After flying high against Monticello on Friday, Warwick came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Valley Central Vikings on Monday, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

Warwick saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amanda Larsen, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Warwick's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Valley Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warwick will host Middletown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Middie Bears at the right time seeing as the Middie Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Valley Central, they will be playing at home against Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
