Volleyball Recap: Madison Mcarthur Key Part of Team Effort in Cougars Win

It's playoff time, and Lafayette Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Community Christian Knights on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Lafayette Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison McArthur out in front who had five aces and three blocks. Those three blocks gave McArthur a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Butler, who had eight assists and two aces.

Lafayette Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Community Christian, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Lafayette Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Harvester Christian Academy on the 2nd. Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
