Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Skyline couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Puyallup Vikings 49-20 on Saturday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Puyallup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mal Mal Akuffo led the charge by rushing for 60 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Akuffo a new career-high. Jayden Woodland did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 110 receiving yards.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Puyallup, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Puyallup, they have already played their next matchup, a 42-35 defeat against Sumner on the 29th.
