Softball Recap: Owyhee Extends Winning Streak to Two

Owyhee won against Rocky Mountain last Wednesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Storm didn't even let the Grizzlies on the board, marking the Storm's second-straight 7-0 shutout. Considering the Storm have won 16 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Bock made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Kenadi Garrett was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Haiylee Reeves, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

The victory made it two in a row for Owyhee and bumps their season record up to 25-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Rocky Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Owyhee nor Rocky Mountain have any future games scheduled.
