Basketball Recap: Astoria Comes Up Short

Astoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 64-54 to the St. Helens Lions. The Fishermen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Astoria's record now sits at 2-11. As for St. Helens, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tillamook the next time they take the court. St. Helens will head out to face Tillamook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Astoria will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
