It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Houma Christian can now relate to. They were dealt a 59-21 loss at the hands of Amite on Thursday. Houma Christian's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Amite's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Curtissiyah Jenkins, who posted 18 points. The matchup was Jenkins' eighth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Toefield, who earned 17 points.

Houma Christian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Amite, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-16.

Houma Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amite, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-37 loss against Northlake Christian on the 24th.
