Ankeny had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-14 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Lincoln Lynx 11-1. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since May 29th.

For Lincoln's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Treyton Cook, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Ankeny didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-4 loss against Sioux City East on the 14th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-6 defeat against Independence on the 14th.
