            Softball Recap: Mercer Mustangs vs. Reynolds Raiders        
        
		
        
        
            Mercer won the last time they faced Reynolds and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Raiders by a score of  6-2.

 Angelina Eakman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Ainsley Baldwin was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run. That  home run was  her first of the season.  Emma Stoepfel was another key player,  earning one  run and two  stolen bases.
Mercer's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Reynolds, their loss was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mercer is set to  face off against  their familiar foe West Middlesex  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Reynolds will  challenge  rival Sharpsville  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
