Basketball Game Preview: Old Orchard Beach Seagulls vs. Madison Bulldogs

The Old Orchard Beach Seagulls will venture away from home to face off against the Madison Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Old Orchard Beach is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Waynflete on Thursday. Old Orchard Beach walked away with a 53-46 victory over Waynflete.

Meanwhile, Madison won against Mountain Valley on Tuesday with 38 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Madison took down Mountain Valley 38-23. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Madison is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Old Orchard Beach, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-7.

Old Orchard Beach came up short against Madison in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 54-46. Can Old Orchard Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
