Ryan Ventrelle Game Report: vs Hamden

Ryan Ventrelle pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than one earned run. This year, he has been strong no matter where he plays. On the mound, he has an ERA of 1.00 over 7 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat he has slashed 0.500/0.633/0.955 with 11 runs.

Coming up, Ventrelle and Fairfield Prep will welcome Trumbull at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Jesuits have some work to do to even out the 1-7 series between these two since April of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
