Football Recap: West Brook's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If West Brook was riding high fresh off their 49-14 takedown of Silsbee two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins took a 26-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lufkin Panthers on Friday. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Brook fell to 4-1. As for Lufkin, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, West Brook and Lufkin will both be playing Sterling the next time they take the field. The Bruins will host the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
