Basketball Recap: Mount Juliet Comes Up Short

Mount Juliet suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the Coffee County Central Red Raiders 84-44. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Red Raiders are ranked sixth).

This is the second loss in a row for Mount Juliet and nudges their season record down to 18-13. As for Coffee County Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 29-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Coffee County Central beat Mount Juliet by a score of 84-44 on Saturday.
