Amite skates past Sumner with ease

Recap: Amite Warriors vs. Sumner Cowboys

In what's become a running theme this season, the Amite Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Sumner 71-28 at home. The win was familiar territory for Amite who now have six in a row.

Leading Amite to victory were Hai?ley Brumfield and Curtissiyah Jenkins. Brumfield scored 13 points along with four steals, while Jenkins scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Brumfield has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Miracle Irving was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Amite pushed their record up to 24-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Sumner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-21.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amite will take on Edna Karr at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Amite has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 375 points over their last six matches. As for Sumner, they will be playing at home against Pine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sumner in Louisiana (Pine is ranked 98th, while Sumner is ranked 264th).
