Volleyball Recap: Forest Lake Christian Wins Going Away Against Victory Christian

Forest Lake Christian came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Victory Christian Vikings on Thursday as the Forest Lake Christian Falcons made off with a 3-0 victory.

While Forest Lake Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-5, 25-17.

Forest Lake Christian found their leader in freshman Brody Carlton, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Carlton. Jacob Stosen also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Forest Lake Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They served six more aces than Victory Christian's also-impressive total of ten.

Forest Lake Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Victory Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Lake Christian will challenge Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Victory Christian, they will face off against Futures at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
