Canutillo is 0-10 against Chapin since March of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. Canutillo will head out on the road to take on Chapin at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Canutillo made easy work of Burges and carried off a 14-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Giovanna Navarro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February.
On the hitting side, Canutillo got a massive performance out of Isabella Salazar, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Salazar has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Borjas, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Meanwhile, Chapin entered their tilt with Jefferson on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 22-2 margin over the Silver Foxes.
Jaedyne Armendariz made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Armendariz was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Kaylynn Farmer was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Briana Aponte was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Chapin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson only posted an OBP of .429.
Chapin's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Canutillo, their record is now 12-8-1.
Canutillo might still be hurting after the 17-6 loss they got from Chapin when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Canutillo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
