Baseball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Immaculata-La Salle's offense. They came up short against the Doral Academy Firebirds on Thursday, falling 9-0. The Royal Lions have struggled against the Firebirds recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Immaculata-La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Doral Academy, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5-1.

Looking ahead, Immaculata-La Salle will square off against Booker T. Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tornadoes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.6 runs per game on average), something the Royal Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. Doral Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
