Tolleson dropped to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They had to suffer through  a    58-7 loss at the hands of the Desert Edge Scorpions. The  matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
As for Desert Edge, their victory was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-0. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average this season.
 A big part of Desert Edge's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Blake Roskopf and his top target  Jhaheem Brown. Roskopf threw for 303 yards and four  touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes while  Brown picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs. With that strong performance,  Brown is now averaging an impressive 104.3  receiving yards per game.  Byron Brandon was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and two  scores.
 Looking ahead, Tolleson will challenge Verrado at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wolverines will be up against the Vipers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.75  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Desert Edge, they will square off against Kellis at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Scorpions will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.63  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
