Laquey had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-15 to make it 13. They came up short against the Osage Indians, falling 20-1. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.
As for Osage, their win bumped their record up to 11-20. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Osage's part, Ethan Wall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Wall posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chance Ottens, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs.
