Basketball Game Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Clearfield Falcons

The Box Elder Bees are taking a road trip to square off against the Clearfield Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Box Elder has given up an average of 49.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Box Elder lost to Bonneville on the road by a 59-43 margin.

Meanwhile, Clearfield humbled West Field with a 53-26 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Clearfield's win came from a few key players that Box Elder will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isabelle Wyaskett, who posted eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Ciara De La O was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Clearfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 8-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

The victory made it two in a row for Clearfield and bumps their season record up to 9-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 46 points in those games. As for Box Elder, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Box Elder was taken down by Clearfield 55-22 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Bees avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
