Grafton skates past York with ease

The Grafton Clippers stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by York at home to the tune of 67-7. That looming 67-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Grafton yet this season.

Grafton found their leader in underclassman Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ragland has scored at least a third of Grafton's points. Alonni Wells was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight steals and five assists.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, York struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Grafton pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.

The win makes it two in a row for Grafton and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for York, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will take on Hampton Roads Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hampton Roads Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for York, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Jamestown at 6:00 p.m. Jamestown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 621 points over their last nine games.
