Volleyball Recap: Pike Red Devils vs. Lebanon Tigers

Pike unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Lebanon Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Pike actually scored more points across those five sets (104-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-19, 12-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Firroune Ouangueye paced Pike's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ouangueye got some help from PP Moo and his 20 assists. Moo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Pike didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Columbus North on the 26th. As for Lebanon, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Traders Point Christian at 6:00 p.m. on April 28.
