Baseball Recap: Colonial Heights Comes Up Short

Colonial Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dinwiddie Generals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 back in April.

Colonial Heights' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Dinwiddie, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Colonial Heights will face off against Prince George at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dinwiddie, they will challenge Clover Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight.
