The Immanuel Christian Crusaders had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They strolled past Trona with points to spare, taking the game 58-40. That's another feather in the cap for Immanuel Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Immanuel Christian found their leader in underclassman Mathew Guevara, who scored 19 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guevara has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Guevara, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Immanuel Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Trona, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Immanuel Christian will head out on the road to face off against Baker at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trona, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lone Pine at 6:30 p.m.
