Softball Recap: Ben Davis Has No Trouble Against Warren Central

Ben Davis's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over the Warren Central Warriors. The high-scoring effort was just what the Giants needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Jaela Prezzy, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Ashlynn Chambers was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Ben Davis hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Ben Davis' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Warren Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Ben Davis will be playing at home against North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Giants are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Warren Central, they will head out to square off against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
