Softball Recap: Highland Park Hornets vs. Booker Kiowas
Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Booker Kiowas.

Kaitlin Lucas was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Aubrey Drerup made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Aaliyah Robinson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16-1. As for Booker, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Park will square off against Sanford-Fritch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
