Baseball Recap: Box Elder Finds Home Field Redemption Against Northridge

There's no place like home for Box Elder, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 16-13 victory over the Northridge Knights on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Jack Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Bryson Wight was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Box Elder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Box Elder has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Northridge, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-19.

As of now, neither Box Elder nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
