Baseball Recap: San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the San Angelo HomeSchool Saints on Thursday, falling 11-5.

Christopher Rangel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Collin Majalca, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for San Angelo HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Angelo HomeSchool, they will take on Reagan County in a tournament on Friday.
