Basketball Game Preview: South Davidson Wildcats vs. Lexington Yellowjackets

South Davidson hasn't had much luck against Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The South Davidson Wildcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lexington Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

South Davidson is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They took a hard 65-49 fall against North Moore. The Wildcats were down 53-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Lexington came up short against Eastern Randolph on Wednesday and fell 70-58.

South Davidson will have to contain Rahzel Ewart as he made an impact in Lexington's last game. He dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Ewart is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Henderson, who posted 13 points.

South Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lexington, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.

South Davidson might still be hurting after the 74-52 defeat they got from Lexington when the teams last played back in February. Can South Davidson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
