Baseball Game Preview: Midlothian Trojans vs. James River Midlothian Rapids

The Midlothian Trojans will head out on the road to take on the James River Midlothian Rapids at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Midlothian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Huguenot 25-2 on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Trojans with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, James River Midlothian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Royals 3-1.

James River Midlothian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Grant, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

James River Midlothian's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Midlothian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Midlothian beat James River Midlothian 10-7 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
