Baseball Recap: North Augusta Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for North Augusta's offense. They came up short against the Harlem Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

North Augusta got a good showing from Jonah Alling, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

North Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harlem, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Augusta will square off against Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Gray Collegiate Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so North Augusta's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Harlem, they will venture away from home to take on Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Harlem will no doubt try to take advantage of.
