Basketball Game Preview: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Milton Eagles

The Sequoyah Chiefs will head out to face off against the Milton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sequoyah's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Sequoyah is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Newnan with points to spare, taking the game 78-62. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Chiefs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Cougars are ranked 124th).

Meanwhile, Milton entered their tilt with Brunswick on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates, sneaking past 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since December 10, 2024.

Sequoyah's record now sits at 20-10. As for Milton, their record is now 25-4.

Sequoyah suffered a grim 54-31 defeat to Milton when the teams last played back in February of 2025. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' Caroline Young, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds.
