Basketball Recap: Shining Light Academy Piles Up the Points Against Greater Vision Academy

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Shining Light Academy and Greater Vision Academy, and Shining Light Academy kept the tradition alive. The Knights took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-34 victory over the Lions. With the Knights ahead 39-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Shining Light Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Watlington, who went 8-for-11 en route to 17 points. Zach Evaro was another key player, putting up eight points along with 13 boards and five assists.

Shining Light Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Greater Vision Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bradun Rogers, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals, and Ari Love, who posted ten points. Rogers has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.
