 Tri-County North and Newton Local are an even 4-4 against one another  since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Tri-County North Panthers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Newton Local Indians at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Tri-County North is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.5  runs per game  this season.
 Tri-County North will roll into the  match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two  runs  on Thursday, then bounced right back against Greenon  on Saturday. Tri-County North blew past Greenon 13-6. Considering Tri-County North has won five contests by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Grayson Woodworth looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Zach Jean was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Garner Parlett, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Newton Local had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.9 runs), and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-7  win over the Bearcats.
 Tri-County North now  has a winning record of 6-5. As for Newton Local, their victory was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-1.
 Tri-County North suffered a grim  19-6 defeat to Newton Local  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023. Can Tri-County North avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
