 If Bear River was feeling good  off their  12-1 takedown of Green Canyon last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bear River Bears fell just short of the Mountain Crest Mustangs by a score of  5-4 on Tuesday. Bear River was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mountain Crest apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March.
  Emma Harrow was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Bella Douglas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex Udy, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 On Mountain Crest's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Aspen Leishman, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Londyn Lee, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Bear River's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-7. As for Mountain Crest, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
 Bear River will be playing at home against Logan at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Logan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5  runs per game  this season. As for Mountain Crest, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Green Canyon at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Mountain Crest is facing Green Canyon at the right time seeing as Green Canyon is stuck on  a  14-game losing streak.
