Basketball Recap: Acadiana Christian Triumphs

Acadiana Christian proved they can win big back in November (they won by 23) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics Storm out 41-38.

Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordan Lonsberry, who posted eight points and five rebounds. What's more, Lonsberry also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Audrey Broussard, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Acadiana Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

Acadiana Christian will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 39-24 victory against Brighton on the 13th.
