Baseball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Hall back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Fritch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Gaege Heinsen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Riverdale will head out to challenge Mercer County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Golden Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hall, they will host Princeton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
