Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Liberty last Thursday, Brookfield came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Crestview Rebels on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Brookfield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Brookfield lost, don't look at Rylie Burdge. Despite the final result, she had 16 assists and 11 digs. Burdge is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Crestview was led to victory by Kerrigan Miller and Addison Wendell. Miller had 14 digs, while Wendell had six digs and three assists. That's the most assists Wendell has posted over her last eight contests. Cambriauna Davidson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Brookfield has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Crestview, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Brookfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against LaBrae on the 25th. As for Crestview, they will host Champion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
