Softball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Bradshaw Mountain Bears, falling 11-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since February 28th.

St. Mary's saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Nunez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Nunez a new career-high. Bella Verdugo also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

St. Mary's suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 8-6. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

St. Mary's has already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against Marcos de Niza on the 27th. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-3 defeat against Greenway on the 28th.
