Softball Recap: University City Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

University City managed to slip by Point Loma the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. University City lost 10-1 to Point Loma on Tuesday. The Centurions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pointers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Sydni Sandoval made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

University City's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-7-1. As for Point Loma, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

University City is taking a road trip to take on Tri-City Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
