Football Game Recap: Russell vs. Capital

Capital won the last time they met up with Russell, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Capital had enough points to win and then some against Russell on Friday, taking their matchup 24-8.

Capital's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 17 first-half points. Meanwhile, Russell couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 17-0 heading into the break. Although Capital wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war. The win got them back to even at 3-3. The defeat dropped Russell's record to 1-5.

Capital will be playing at home against Billings West at at 7:00 PM next week. Those two teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Russell, they will face off against Skyview. Those two teams have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses for Russell and six for Skyview.
