Basketball Recap: Sandburg Takes a Loss

Sandburg lost against Homewood-Flossmoor back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sandburg Eagles were outmatched by the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings and fell 91-31. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sandburg's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandburg will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will take on Lincoln-Way East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Homewood-Flossmoor's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
