Canisius extended their home winning streak to five games  thanks to a huge performance from  Matteo Brusco. Everything went the Crusaders' way against Varsity Opponent on Saturday as they made off with  a  42-21 victory with plenty of help from  Brusco, who threw for 174 yards and three  TDs on only 12 passes, and also punched in one  touchdown on the ground. His passing game has become a key predictor of Canisius' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.
  Elijah Kimble helped  Brusco out on the ground, picking up 60 receiving yards and one  score, while also rushing for 39 yards.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch
Canisius' win bumped their record up to 5-3.
 Coming up, Canisius will take on St. Francis at 7:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 917 yards in their previous games. Varsity Opponent has  already played their next  contest (against Washington Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
