Baseball Game Preview: Toll Gate Titans vs. Central Knights

The Toll Gate Titans will head out to face off against the Central Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Toll Gate managed to slip by Pilgrim the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Titans wound up with the same score they had in their last game (13-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 11th.

Toll Gate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edward Rosario, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Cranston East. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 10th.

Toll Gate's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Toll Gate suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
