Soccer Game Preview: Surry Central vs. Mount Airy + How To Watch

Surry Central is 1-9 against Mount Airy since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will welcome the Granite Bears at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Surry Central's victory against West Stokes wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Eagles had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Surry Central.

Meanwhile, Mount Airy made easy work of East Surry on Wednesday and carried off a 6-1 win. The result was nothing new for Mount Airy, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Surry Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-2. As for Mount Airy, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.

Surry Central couldn't quite get it done against Mount Airy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
