Softball Recap: Paradise Valley Trojans vs. Willow Canyon Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Paradise Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They suffered a  tough 13-3 loss at the hands of the Willow Canyon Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Paradise Valley of the  17-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
 Paradise Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Addison Townsend, who  went 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.  Chloe Herron was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 On Willow Canyon's side, they got a great performance from  Sierra Tartaglia as she  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Rylee Turlington was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Harmony Andrade, who  went 3-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Willow Canyon, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with that  victory, which was their 15th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Paradise Valley will  face off against Willow Canyon at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Willow Canyon, they will be playing at home against Apollo at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Willow Canyon's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last four matches.
